Happy Dance – Together
Help your child explore the power of dance – especially when done in a group.
Feelings are like the wind going through Windsock Man on a breezy day. Babies do a happy dance when you make them laugh; all their arms and legs move like crazy as the feelings find their way all the way through the body. Together (the more the merrier) invent some moves that express happiness. Then, together, ‘choreograph’ a few moves that you will do together – over and over – to some fun music.
Now, to switch it up, have each child do the dance alone. Ask them if it felt different. Which way did they like best?
